The Philippines is a founding member of the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Annex 17 of ICAO sets as a standard
that each contracting states shall require “the development and implementation
of Training programmes to ensure the effectiveness of its National
Civil Aviation Programme”. It further recommends that all persons engaged
to implement security controls in civil aviation “are adequately trained”.
In accordance, PASSCOR Training School offers the following courses:
BASIC AVIATION SECURITY (AVSEC) SPECIALIST COURSE – STP (123/BASIC)
A requirement of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 17 objectives and AVSEC Standard Training Programme (STP) as a guideline.
Aims to equip participants with the knowledge to effectively perform screening functions to safeguard airports, airlines and its users.
Total No. of Hours = 139 Hrs.
AVIATION SECURITY (AVSEC) SUPERVISORY COURSE
Based from the Standrd Training Package (STP) of ICAO Annex 17, this course focuses on the responsibilities of
new AVSEC supervisors who will be made aware of administrative and operational tasks such as
planning, organazing, briefing information, decision-making, monitor and control,
appraisal of subordinates, etc.
Total No. of Hours = 71 Hrs
AIRLINE SECURITY COURSE
Basic knowledge in the implementation of security procedures in accordance with the
Air Carrier Standard Security Programme (ACSSP). Understanding all risks that
airline operators are exposed to, the measures and tasks to counter the threats
amd adapt effective quality control of the security system.

AIRLINE SECURITY REFRESHER COURSE
Participants to review the existing systems and procedures, and gets updated
on the latest trends on airline security operations. Risk assessment evaluation
of the applicability of new security measures is reformed through interaction,
to ensure a safe and threat-free flight.

AVSEC RE-CURRENCY COURSE
Recurrency and updating knowledge on AVSEC oprations. Familiarity with the latest ICAO
Ammendments, Airline Security directives, Airport Authority Information/Memorandum
Circulars, etc., and its implementation.

AIRPORT/AIRLINE CUSTOMER RELATIONS COURSE
Participants gain deep understanding of the "Human Factor" element and the imporatnce to the
organization of excellent customer service. Orient the participants on principles on
human behavior and apply good human relations in the conduct of business for the
success of the organization.

DANGEROUS GOODS RECOGNITION AND HANDLING COURSE
Familiarity with the general philosophy of the ICAO, IATA Dangerous Goods
Regulations and principles in the safe transport by air of Dangerous Goods.
Awareness of the risks involved in the transport of DGoods and equip you with
skills to accept and handle DGoods safely and efficiently.

DANGEROUS GOODS REFRESHER COURSE
Update on recent changes to the provisions based on ICAO, IATA and other
industry regulations. Enables us to discuss the applicability and
implementation of cargo security handling amendments.

PRE-BOARD SCREENING COURSE (X-RAY OPERATIONS)
Broad as[ects bout the principle and development of the important screener attributes.
Students develop techniques for effective implementation of screening operations
as per requirement of ICAO and IATA.. Acquire the skills in the proper
use of security equipments like handheld metal detectors and the X-ray machine.

PRE-BOARD SCREENING RE-CERTIFICATION COURSE
Recurrency and updating on changes to procedures as mandated by ICAO,
IATA and other international regulations. Discuss and implement applicability of
amendments to recent practices.

BASIC CCTV OPERATORS COURSE
This course will provide a strong foundation in understanding the importance of CCTV, and how
a video recording system works. Establish the significance of the human
factor to effectively deter, detect and prevent unlawful acts against civil
aviation. Learn and demonstrate skills in the operation of the system
based on the ICAO standards.

CCTV OPERATORS REFRESHER COURSE
Update on new technology in the industry especially with the latest ICAO Amendments, Security Directives,
Memorandum Circulars, etc.
Improve their analytical skills and procedures in identifying threats to civil aviation.

BASIC AIR CARGO SECURITY (AND HANDLING) COURSE
A solid foundation in applying security principles and evaluating risks
in air cargo system according to ICAO, IATA standards. Improve the skills
and learn various tasks through the analysis of “threat areas” in the working environment.
Total No. of Hours = 48 Hrs
SPECIAL SECURITY EQUIPMENT TRAINING COURSE
Familiarity with the ICAO-mandated operating procedures, purposes and importance
of the handheld metal detector and the walk – thru detector tools.
Be aware of “common sense” and good judgment in the use of these technological
aids to detection.

SPECIAL SECURITY EQUIPMENT REFRESHER TRAINING COURSE
Update on new technology in the industry based from ICAO and IATA mandate.
Improve their analytical skills and procedures in identifying threats to civil aviation.

FIREARMS PROFICIENCY COURSES (SAFE HANDLING/FAMILIARIZATION FIRING/BASIC MARKSMANSHIP/PRACTICAL SHOOTING
Knowledge in the cardinal rules of gun safety and observe proper handling. Get
the feel of using a short and long firearmin firing at a target. Demonstrate
the proper technique like stance, breathing, grip, etc., in fair at a target.
Competency rating is established by an accredited Range Officer/and shooting Champions.

AVSEC SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES
fundamental martial arts and defense techniques to neutralize threats by terrorists,
proficiency to handle unruly and eerie passengers, etc. Acquire the confidence, control
and judgement in assessing disruptive behavior of people like passengers, airport users, etc.

FIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL AWARENESS COURSE
Knowledge and skills in prevention and control of fire based from the Standard
Training Package (STP) of ICAO Annex 17. Understand and apply safety principles and
demonstrate quick response to situations.

BASIC FIREFIGHTING AND PREVENTION COURSE
ICAO-applied techniques in managing a fire control program. Understand the need to develop
a culture of safety and readiness and implement controls

INSTRUCTIONS TRAINING COURSE
Skills to define needs, methods and modern principles to conduct professional training,
as identifid from the Standard Training Package (STP) of ICAO Annex 17 Train the Trainers
Course. Develop quality and highly effective training through understanding of
trainers' role and duties as related to adult learning methods.

AVIATION SECURITY AWARENESS COURSE
A requirement to all persons employed or rendering services at the various agencies/business
at the airport, in compliance with the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS), in pursuance of the
need to be secured, safe and sound in all areas of the airport.
Total No. of Hours = 4 Hrs
AIRPORT AIRSIDE SECURITY COURSE
Specialized training for AVSECs in accordance with ICAO Annex 17 to enhance
their duties and functions within the irside area. This includes all
security personnel assigned/deployed to airlines, tenants, contractors, cargo
handlers in the airside and postings with access to the airside.
Total No. of Hours = 58 Hrs
AIRPORT AIRSIDE SECURITY (ABBREVIATED)COURSE
Curtailment of the requirement of the ICAO Annex 17 with regards to the applicability
of the security within the airside areas such as AVSECs detailed from different airside posts and with access to the said
area.
